God had permitted the Midianites to invade Israel, yearly, and rob them of their wheat. One day Gideon was secretly threshing wheat in a wine press. He was hoping to hide it from the Midianites. While in the wine press the Angel of The Lord appeared to Gideon and said,
"The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!" (Judges 6:11-12)Obviously The Lord saw Gideon quite differently for the way that he saw himself.
How did Gideon see himself: Young, weak, ineffective, and fearful.
The Lord greeted him as a, "mighty man of valor."
My point is this: We each need to be less concerned with how we see ourselves and more concerned with how God sees us. in Christ each one of us is a new man... created according to God , in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24).
Come into compliance with God's will concerning this matter, inevitably this will affect the way we live.
Much of our spiritual depression is born of the disappointment of our ow ambitions ( Gideon in of himself begin to feel worthless). When the expected outcome fail to show our pride is wounded.
We owe ourselves the best life on earth. Especially when we have sincerely exerted ourselves: giving our best to produce the best.
Hebrews 11:8 -- Abraham obeyed and went even though he did not know where he was going.
Don't let the rich soil of your heart grow fear!
"Whatever has come from you doing your best cheerfully accept your issue."Now is the time to exercise your ingenuity. FAITH can do more NOW than ever before.
